Low Self Esteem
Self-esteem is the way we value and perceive ourselves and is based on our beliefs and opinions about ourselves. There are a lot of things that can cause low self-esteem such as:
- Struggling with mental health challenges
- Being bullied at school
- Having problems at school or work
- Going through a divorce/separation
- Having a negative body image
- Having physical health problems
Low self-esteem can cause mental health problems if your low self-esteem lasts for a long period of time and affects your daily life. Having low self esteem can really impact upon peoples quality of life and effect their professional life as well as their family and social life.
